Sterlin Baylor is the assistant basketball coach and best friend to Ayman Sparks. The two go back in time to when the main character from Brush Stroke, Tylowe Dandridge all were in college at University of New Mexico, now all three are living Seattle. Sterlin Baylor is serious about being a good assistant coach and good friend, but he is living life as a carefree soul. In that carefree life style, women fall for his good looks and charm. Lois Mae Ilan has been married twice, divorced once, and then after her second husband’s death, it left her widowed by the age of 40. She is a Romantic African American Literature Professor at East Seattle City University. Lois Mae is well accomplished and classy, but still is a very southern bell from Texas. She is proud and beautiful on the inside and out, even though she is not small woman. She is squeezing into size 18’s in most all she wears, but it doesn’t stop men from breaking their necks on the double take with her extra, voluminous curves. Yet she’s lonely in her effort to find a man who she can give all her heart too. After the drama of a bad marriage and then after the death of her second husband she is starting to look for love on the Internet, and her friends are not helping her with their messy issues. The one thing she misses daily the need for back breaking way out of the square box sex, so a girl got to do what a girl has to do. But wait she’s a good girl. So what’s a sophisticated, intellectual woman to do? Vanita Irving is sitting in church when her story starts. She is reflecting while starring into the stained glass windows. She is having an emotional time reflecting on her life with a husband who has walked out on her and her left her to be a single parent. Now with her nutmeg brown skin, almost unnoticeable black beauty marks blends well into her mature model beauty, she dose not have a hard time meeting men and men are all around her. | ![]() |
