Alvin was born in Seattle, under bluest skies there ever were, but loves Houston, Hot-lanta, Vegas, Vancouver B.C., and most parts of California.

He says: "Oh, I have too many hobbies, but I love to cruise in my classic cars. That means I need time to restore them . I live on my 45 foot boat, but that means I need time to maintain it. I should head down to Pike Place Market to buy some fresh shrimp and then sauté them in real butter, but then that means I have to do more sit ups.

Maybe I should I play my bass, or write a song on the guitar, or play the piano and sing a song called Romantic Blues. Nah, I need to finish writing… but first I need to tune my bike and then I have go out for test spin."

The first thing I should have said: "OUR CREATOR blesses us and we can do what we need to do with him being in our lives. "

I finished this project and headed out the door to my thirty-year high school reunion. Most of that night, old classmates asked, "Do you still write poetry?"

One classmate said, "Hey, man, I know it’s been thirty years, but I’m still mad at you for writing a love letter to the girl I married. She kept asking me to write love letters after that." I said, "Well, write her a love letter and spice up the old relationship." "I can’t." "he said, "she left me for writer a few years ago."

I started writing poetry and love letters back in the day, and now here is my first novel. I can say it wasn’t easy. I have started three other books and life kept writing a period, and an end of that chapter in my life. Some of those chapters needed to end and others I wish they never did. In all chapters of my life, I was earning a living. Other chapters had me raising a handsome son and a beautiful daughter. The chapters that rerun on in my head and heart are the long Romantic Blues verses with fine, intelligent, sexy, my best friend at the time, almost and should have been my soul-mate, forever lovers.
